I too faced the similar problem .<\/p>\n<p>I installed service pack on my windows 7 \u00a0and as soon as I restarted the computer , Processor usage reached 50% \u00a0with no running applications.<\/p>\n<p>Finally found that the cause for this was a process called\u00a0mscorsvw.exe \u00a0process \u00a0. This process is responsible for compiling \u00a0.net\u00a0assemblies\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>When we\u00a0installed\u00a0the service pack which includes the .net updates or pacthes \u00a0 , it will re compile the assemblies in the background.<\/p>\n<p>Once this process complete ,the \u00a0processor usage will return to normal.<\/p>\n<p>If we run the command &#8221;\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">C:\\WINDOWS\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\(version of framework)\\ngen.exe executequeueditems &#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span>It will\u00a0forcibly\u00a0process the queued items.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On my computer the active ngen.exe was in v2.0.50727 so , I\u00a0just right clicked on \u00a0accessories &#8211;&gt; commandprompt and choose run as Administrator , then typed the command<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong><em>C:\\WINDOWS\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727\\ngen.exe executequeueditems<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your computer slowed down just after installing service pack \u00a0?
