Upgrading from php 5 to php 7 on centos\u00a0 may require small changes in httpd (apache2) configuration files .<\/p>\n

Error could be related to loading php7 module\u00a0 and error may display something like\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 221 of \/etc\/httpd\/conf\/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 6 of \/etc\/httpd\/conf.d\/php.conf: Cannot load \/etc\/httpd\/modules\/libphp5.so into server: \/etc\/httpd\/modules\/libphp5.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is because\u00a0 old php.conf is not replaced with new php.conf which should contain LoadModule php7_module modules\/libphp7.so<\/span><\/p>\n

You can rename old php.conf\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>to php.conf.old\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>and\u00a0 php.conf.rpmnew <\/em><\/strong>to php.conf\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

or add the line<\/p>\n

LoadModule php7_module modules\/libphp7.so\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>line \u00a0 to\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>\/etc\/httpd\/conf.d\/php.conf\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>file\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also change<\/p>\n

\u00a0 <\/span><IfModule mod_php5.c><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 to\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 <\/span><IfModule mod_php7.c>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
