After compiling and \u00a0installing freeswitch on centOS from freeswitch source files , we can just copy \u00a0\/usr\/src\/freeswitch\/build\/freeswitch.init.redhat<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0 file to \/etc\/init.d<\/em><\/strong> directory and \u00a0 correct the freeswitch path entries \u00a0to make it start at boot time .<\/p>\n

copy the file to init.d directory and \u00a0add permissions<\/p>\n

#cp \/usr\/src\/freeswitch\/build\/freeswitch.init.redhat \/etc\/init.d\/freeswitch<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

#chmod 755\u00a0\/etc\/init.d\/freeswitch<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

edit the file \u00a0and correct the freeswitch path entries . On my \u00a0freeswicth \u00a0test\u00a0server\u00a0the entries are like below<\/p>\n

save the file \u00a0and \u00a0add it to\u00a0auto start\u00a0services list<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

chkconfig –level 345 freeswitch on<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

now\u00a0chkconfig –list freeswitch<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0should\u00a0show something like below<\/p>\n

<25>:chkconfig –list freeswitch
\nfreeswitch 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If we restart the system it should start\u00a0free-switch\u00a0automatically .<\/p>\n

netstat -ptuln \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>command output will show if \u00a0free-switch\u00a0is\u00a0listening\u00a0to the ports<\/p>\n
