First stop asterisk . If you are running freepbx enter the command “amportal stop”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
killall -9 safe_asterisk<\/p>\n
killall -9 asterisk
\nthen unload zaptel drivers<\/p>\n
lsmod | grep zaptel<\/p>\n
if this returns blank , skip this step if it retruns something like below then remove the drivers with modprobe command<\/p>\n
zaptel 214820 2 wcfxo,wctdm
\ncrc_ccitt 2113 1 zaptel
\nwe can remove zaptel modules in reverse order
\nmodprobe -r wcfxo
\nmodprobe -r wctdm
\nrepeat this for all other zaptel submodules<\/p>\n
modprobe -r zaptel
\nNow confirm that all zaptel drivers have been removed ,if you enter “lsmod | grep zaptel” it will return nothing.<\/p>\n
Now remove asterisk directories
\nrm -rf \/etc\/asterisk
\nrm -f \/etc\/zaptel.conf
\nrm -rf \/var\/log\/asterisk
\nrm -rf \/var\/lib\/asterisk
\nrm -rf \/var\/spool\/asterisk
\nrm -rf \/usr\/lib\/asterisk<\/p>\n
Uninstalling \u00a0freepbx \u00a0is as simple as just removing the freepbx web directories and drop the database

\nrm -rf \/var\/www\/html\/admin<\/p>\n
